*TLDR: You have many more options than just what’s available within Mexico.* As a general rule, I like to describe insurance agents/agencies like we might look at shoe stores. You could pick a running shoe store or a dress shoe store, etc., and you’re gonna find relevant products to that niche. Insurance agencies are the stores and the agents are the sales reps. We may offer similar products but a lot of times you see completely different products with each because of their market. For example, the brokers above seem to be working within plans available only in Mexico requiring Mexican residency. So that’s their market. But if you’re looking in the global market (which does not require residency in Mexico) you may find there are options better suited to your life and travel. One of those perks is that often times in the global market you can find plans that are “global excluding the US” that are the same price if not lower than “Mexico only” plans. And that really just comes down to the market.
